月朦朧，鳥朦朧;
熒火照夜空；
Under the dim Moon, birds are indistinct
Although fireflies are weaving the night sky
山朦朧, 樹朦朧,
秋蟲在呢噥。
On misty mountains, trees are vague to sight
But mumbling are autumn insects
花朦朧，夜朦朧，
晚風扣簾籠；
In the foggy night, flowers are obscured
And curtains are knocked at by night wind
燈朦朧，人朦朧，
但願同入夢。
Under dull lamps, people are puzzled
But wishes of beautiful dreams are upheld
