I don't know what exactly you are promoting for. I think CoolVoice is doing the right thing, and others may benefit as well. I don't see a conflict here. There is no contradiction between the group's interest and personal interest.
You can't judge people's feeling with a dollar amount. Just like you can't tell if it's best interst for a man to belive God or not. This is their choice.
