鯤鵬展翅，九萬裏，翻動扶搖羊角。

揹負青天朝下看，都是人間城郭。

炮火連天，彈痕遍地，嚇倒蓬間雀。

怎麼得了，哎呀我要飛躍。

借問君去何方，雀兒答道：有仙山瓊閣。

不見前年秋月朗，訂了三家條約。

還有吃的，土豆燒熟了，再加牛肉。

不須放屁！試看天地翻覆。 ^[4] 

 

A Dialogue between the Roc and the Sparrow

The roc spreads his whirlwind wings, into skies,

Soaring ninety thousand li like thunder,

Up and down, he now glides, he now flies,

Carrying the vast blue, he gazes at the land under,

The mortal world on fire, the cannons bellow,

Bullets-ridden, wounds-filled, it frightens the sparrow,

It shrills “Oh, holy shit, away must I arrow...”

“Hey, birdie, where are you rushing for?”, the sparrow replies,

“For a fairyland with jade spires, and many a wonder,

Such as last fall three treaties by three close ties,

Also, potatoes with beef...”  “O, gulp your chunder,

And shut up your fart, watch the world whirl asunder!”
