玫瑰被子彈擊中後的瞬間 (圖1)
美國加利福尼亞州54歲的攝影師阿蘭·塞勒(Alan Sailer)近日成功拍攝了一係列作品，刻畫了原本不起眼的物品被子彈射擊的瞬間。這組極富吸引力的圖片，選取了鮮花和水果為主要特寫對象，還獵取了大量意想不到的物品，例如火腿和雪花。
塞勒在一間黑暗房間裏，把目標物放在20厘米外進行了拍攝。他自製的帶有獨特閃光設備的照相機具有延遲一秒拍攝的功能。塞勒把這種拍攝稱為“超越危險的行為”。他解釋說：“最特別之處在於閃光的控製，我使用的閃光燈是在Harold Edgerton的設計上基礎上自製創新的，具有約0.5微秒級的持續時間，需要在1.7萬伏電壓下運作。在這麽高的電壓下工作，我不得不冒著生命的危險。當子彈以200米/秒的速度飛離槍口時，閃光燈立刻觸發運作。類似與我們一走進商店，歡迎樂聲立即響起的迅速反映。”
為了配合物體的反射率，相機設置為1秒閃光，9-13光圈數。“在閃光延遲的一秒鍾時間內，我可以一隻手按照相機快門，一隻手扣動扳機。另外，我有一個延時電路裝置來計算準確的閃光時間點，以便在子彈射擊物體的瞬間發出閃光。子彈撞擊還會引起驚人的震蕩。”
塞勒是一位拍攝範圍極廣的攝影師，從美國當紅少女、卡通娃娃到植物蘑菇，他花費了大量心血創作有視覺衝擊的圖像。更多時候，熱衷於拍攝想法而非拍攝的結果。
