心靈之眼被照亮 - 以弗所書讀經隨筆 第1 章

以弗所書第一章第15-23節，保羅自從聽說關於以弗所的弟兄姐妹們在耶穌基督裏的信心和對眾聖徒的愛心之後，就一直保持在他的禱告裏為大家感謝神。保羅說他一直在祈求神將那智慧和啟示之靈賞賜給大家，這樣使大家能夠更好地知道神。保羅說他也禱告祈求，希望弟兄姐妹們心靈的眼睛能夠被照亮，這樣弟兄姐妹們就能知道神召我們進天國的希望是什麽，就能知道他榮耀的基業在聖徒中是何等的豐盛；並且，就能知道他向我們這信的人所顯的能力是何等的浩大。神曾用大能使耶穌從死裏複活，叫他在天上坐在自己的右邊，叫他不單在今世，也在來世位於一切統治和權威之上；神將萬有置於耶穌基督的腳下；神使他作為教會裏一切事情的元首，教會是他的身體。

弗1:15 因此，我既聽見你們信從主耶穌，親愛眾聖徒，
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 
弗1:16 就為你們不住地感謝神，禱告的時候，常提到你們。
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 
弗1:17 求我們主耶穌基督的神，榮耀的父，將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈，賞給你們，使你們真知道他。
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 
弗1:18 並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望。他在聖徒中得的基業，有何等豐盛的榮耀。
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 
弗1:19 並知道他向我們這信的人所顯的能力，是何等浩大，
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
弗1:20 就是照他在基督身上，所運行的大能大力，使他從死裏複活，叫他在天上坐在自己的右邊，
he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 
弗1:21 遠超過一切執政的，掌權的，有能的，主治的，和一切有名的。不但是今世的，連來世的也都超過了。
far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 
弗1:22 又將萬有服在他的腳下，使他為教會作萬有之首。
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 
弗1:23 教會是他的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
