聖經是關於福音的

舊約聖經和新約聖經統概起來就是關於兩個字: 福音

舊約是新約的預表，是給耶穌作見證的，見證那將要在新約裏到來的耶穌和他的福音。這在舊約裏有摩西和眾先知的話為證，這些話耶穌在去往以馬忤斯的路上給門徒講解了個明白。新約聖經裏耶穌按父神的旨意來到世間傳講並成就福音，死在十字架上替世人贖了罪，讓信他的有神的義和永生，做神的兒女，承受神的祝福和應許，這就是因信稱義的福音。耶穌為人的罪而死和為人的義而複活。新約裏信徒是新造的人，而非改良的; 是從神生的，而非從肉身生的; 是義人，而非仍是罪人，因為信徒有耶穌的所賜之義。約翰福音裏耶穌說(舊約)聖經是為他做見證的。

世人若承認自己是罪人(這裏的罪人是指sinner,而非criminal)，並相信耶穌的拯救，就接受了耶穌基督為救主，就相信了福音。耶穌基督是唯一的救主，完成了拯救工作，一次獻上就在父右邊坐下了。世人隻需通過認識耶穌並他釘十字架領受這大愛就是了。

約5:39 你們查考聖經〔或作應當查考聖經〕因你們以為內中有永生．給我作見證的就是這經。
"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.

提前1:15 基督耶穌降世、為要拯救罪人．這話是可信的、是十分可佩服的... 
The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 

路15:7 我告訴你們、一個罪人悔改、在天上也要這樣為他歡喜、較比為九十九個不用悔改的義人、歡喜更大。 
I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance. 

約1:12-13 凡接待他的、就是信他名的人、他就賜他們權柄作神的兒女。 這等人不是從血氣生的、不是從情欲生的、也不是從人意生的、乃是從 神生的。
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 

加2:17 我們若求在基督裏稱義、卻仍舊是罪人、難道基督是叫人犯罪的麽．斷乎不是。 
But if, while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a servant of sin? Certainly not! 

約3:16 神愛世人、甚至將他的獨生子(耶穌)賜給他們、叫一切信他的、不至滅亡、反得永生。 
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 

約3:18 信他的人不被定罪．不信的人罪已經定了、因為他不信神獨生子的名。 
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. 

約16:33 我(耶穌)將這些事告訴你們、是要叫你們在我裏麵有平安。在世上你們有苦難．但你們可以放心、我已經勝了世界。 
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
