Melian和Elwe的牽手相遇

Tolkien的世界真有意思。

在精靈們第一次從中土遷徙到undying land的途中，一個精靈部落的王Elwe在樹林中偶遇了令他魔怔的化為精靈身體的Maiar Melian，正在樹林中唱歌。Melian是Yavanna派來，給中土世界帶來歌聲和教會小鳥們唱歌的神。不知內情的Elwe情不自禁的上去握住了Melian的手。然後，他們就一言不發地手拉手在林中空地，星空的照耀下，任憑時間從他們身邊流逝。書裏說，"She spoke no word; but being filled with love Elwë came to her and took her hand, and straightway a spell was laid on him, so that they stood thus while long years were measured by the wheeling stars above them; and the trees of Nan Emloth grew tall and dark before they spoke any word."

就像這樣。

今天我忽然想起這個典故，再想一下，到底這個spell是多少年過去了他們才互相問好？因為Elwe的族人費了很多年到處找都找不到他。問了下Google，說這個spell是300年。
