     當你遇到有人因花生或其它堅果（nut)類或海鮮類等食物、蜜蜂或其它昆蟲叮咬、藥物（如青黴素Penicillin、先鋒黴素Cephalosporin 、潑尼鬆Prednisone 、地塞米鬆Decadron等）、疫苗、生物製劑、乳膠手套、男性精液、運動或其它過敏原等引起的全身型過敏性反應（Anaphylaxis）時，若患者呼吸困難、不醒人事，而他/她的包裏恰巧備有EpiPen，你該怎樣使用它而幫助拯救生命？

• 1. Pull off the gray safety cap.
• 2. Place the black tip on the outer thigh.
• 3. Push the EpiPen against the outer thigh until the Auto-Injector activates.
• 4. Hold the Auto-Injector in place for 5 to10 seconds.
• 5. Discard the entire EpiPen properly after use.
• 6. Seek emergency help immediately, call 911 after using an EpiPen . The effects from this medication may wear off in 10-20 minutes.

After using the EpiPen, most people experience side effects; trembling, palpitations (heart beating fast), and a feeling of tension or anxiousness. These are normal effects of the adrenaline and soon wear off.

Pushing the EpiPen against the thigh releases a spring activated plunger, pushing the concealed needle into the thigh muscle and expelling a dose of epinephrine
