- One neither escapes nor hides his or her admiration of  Eagles and Horses -when looking at them. No mater a picture, or watch them in motion flying, or seeing horses run, in a thunder-storm. Thunders roar in the sky, and lighting flash and shine the vast land. This song sang by John Denver brought us closer to it, the feeling that "Flying, higher and higher", not only the music, flew as the eagles flying, and horses running, but the truth and soul he discovered and conveyed with his singing voice, touches all of us, like mountain breezes, as if he was standing, singing, and watching on the high hills.
