一語淺譯，
尼亞加拉瀑布
The Falls, Niagara !

百尺銀練舞，Silvery jewelery drops, O'er Angles' dance scarfs,
半空煙浪飛。Erecting up smoky n milky way up in sky half
十裏濤聲震，Waves echoes ten miles away, n vibrant rocks, trembling
一江碧水回。A river whirls strong towards lakes and seas
轟隆隆，Hear ？ the mighty noise?
不陰何雷？No Thunder roars as lauder as this!
光燦燦，See it?
不霽何虹？No rainbows bright as shining as this!
亂雲含雨般迷，Mestry, only in clouds and rains scrambles，
正好天光日亮時候。Then, the moment in sun-light and bright
是陰是晴，Chilled or not?
怪也不怪？ Hardly, human can tell!
冰絲帶雪般冷，Snowy and icy,
卻是衣單袖短時節。When in shorts and sleeveless!
是冬是夏，Winter or Summer?
奇也不奇？O, My Niagara Falls! Canada!
千千百百個 Thousands, Millions or Innumerable?
風雲雷雨陰晴日，O, Sky, let you be cloudy, rain, or shine
似如此這般 Like this or thus,
轟鳴咆哮咆哮轟鳴；It roars into the sky and be heard by all!
百百千千個 Hundreds, or Millions,
春夏秋冬寒暑天，But seasons only four!
若這般如此 If this or thus,
沸騰傾瀉傾瀉沸騰。Water Fall N the Water, let Fall !
不虛此行償夙願，O, My Load, My...!
等閑莫與俗人看。Oh, Mighty all no normals!
瀑布看我不煩不厭，Let it fall, and fall on me, the most!
我看瀑布不厭不煩。Let me see, and see so close and the clearest!

Dear Lake-side,
I like this series of travel notes of yours. They are just like a bunchof tiny flowers which were just collected from the river side afterrain. Though little, they are sweet and fresh which make me muchexcited. I also love to write this sort of article. And sometimes Iwrote poems concerning where I visited and what I saw. I’ve been inCanada only once. During a 20-day-visit to Canada & America in thewinter of 1991 I once stayed in Toronto for a day or two and once wentto see the famous Niagara Fall. But I’ve never been Fort George. Manyyears later I composed a poem named Niagara Fall in 1998 which waspublished in 《China Press》. I’d like to share it with you. But it’s apity I haven’t translated into English so I have to post it here inChinese.

Dear Deli, 德利君，
Thank you, for the powerful poem. I liked it so much, so I did it with no delay in any seconds atfirst sight of it, and none stop. It not only brought me back to theclosest spot, where one would stand lost in amazement; but also feelthe charm of the nature, and the truth of life as the river that flows.
I am sorry, dear Deli, I did not see and read the first time, but I have been doing it with full enjoyment of every seconds! Here is the homework, and hope you like it!
