常常看到有人問如何給父母辦綠卡，首先就是要準備材料，我把要準備的材料列出來，希望對用得上的朋友有幫助。
注：如果你以公民的身份替父母申請綠卡，你就是petitioner。在I-130的申請中，你是petitioner，你的父母是beneficiary（受益人）；在I-485或consular process中，你的父／母是applicant。
- Form I-130, petitioner petitioning for father/mother, check attached
- Copy of Naturalization certificate of petitioner
- Copy of petitioner's passport
- Birth certificate of petitioner
- Marriage certificate of father and mother (only needed in father's package)
- Copy of the court order for petitioner's name change (if applicable)

- Form I-485, check attached, 2 photos attached (parent's)
- G-325A Biographic Information (parent's)
- Form I-693, sealed Medical Examination Sheet (parent's)
- Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (petitioner)
- Form I-864A (if husband/wife's financial support is needed)
- Form I-864 support docs: Tax return and 2 most recent pay stubs (petitioner)
- Form I-94 of father/mother
- father/mother's birth certificate
- Copy of father/mother's passport, including the page with non-immigrant visa
如果需要申請Advanced Parole，用I-131表格 with 2 additional photos，因為申請費用已經包括在I-485的申請費裏了，不申請也不省錢，所以建議一起申請。
以上是父母在美國申請綠卡的情況下所需文件。如果父母人在中國申請美國綠卡，隻需遞交I-130及其輔助材料，不需遞交I-485。在境外申請的步驟如下：
a。分別給父母遞交I-130的申請
b。等待USCIS批準I-130，USCIS說up to 5 months。（會有例外，好比說我爸的I-130 case用了12個月）
c。USCIS子批準I-130之後會通知NVC（national visa center）
d。從NVC收到通知，要你給每個case交70塊錢AOS fee；核對你父母在國內的地址；還有DS-3032表（是否選擇由你作為他們的代理人）
e。你會收到package 3，你填好遞交，要多少fee你也要支付。
f。NVC收到所有材料後會通知廣州領館，大概60到90天的樣子會給你父母發package 4，就是interview package。
g。你父母應在指定的醫院體檢，拿到I-863（medical exam），然後在指定的時間到廣州領館麵試。
i。麵試通過之後就可以擇日登陸美國，成為綠卡持有者。綠卡應會在他們登陸之後一個月的樣子寄到他們在美國的地址，大概就是你家了。
總共時間應該是1年到1年半。
