The mistakes related with Laid off, or play hooky are not accent related. haha

When foreigners make such mistakes, and native speakers usually would consider this as funny and cute. But if a foreiger wants to get serious in business world, such mistakes usually would not be tolerated. Your opponants could attack you relentlessly making use of these mistakes.
