神叫我們與耶穌一同坐在天上 - 以弗所書讀經隨筆 第2章

以弗所書第二章第1-7節，保羅說我們以前因為隨從今世的風俗和邪靈，已經死在罪中了，那個時候我們放縱肉體的私欲，隨從肉體的喜好與想法。然而神有豐富的憐憫和大愛，叫我們與基督一同活了過來，與基督一同坐在天上，目的是要將他無與倫比的恩典，在基督耶穌裏顯明給我們看。

弗2:1 你們死在過犯罪惡之中，他叫你們活過來，
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 
弗2:2那時你們在其中行事為人隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈。
in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 
弗2:3我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私欲，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。
All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 
弗2:4 然而神既有豐富的憐憫。因他愛我們的大愛，
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 
弗2:5 當我們死在過犯中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來。（你們得救是本乎恩）
made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 
弗2:6 他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同複活，一同坐在天上，
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 
弗2:7 要將他極豐富的恩典，就是他在基督耶穌裏向我們所施的恩慈，顯明給後來的世代看。
in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
