顯出神的作為來 — 約翰福音讀經隨筆 第9章

約翰福音第九章第1—7節耶穌讓一個天生的瞎子重見了光明。一開始看見這個瞎子的時候，門徒們問耶穌說：“拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪？是這人呢是他父母呢？” 耶穌回答說:"也不是這人犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，是要在他身上顯出神的作為來。” 耶穌在他的回答裏沒有把重點放在犯罪的問題上，而是強調了要在瞎子身上顯出神的作為來。這是因為人的罪再大，神都是可以赦免的，耶穌這樣回答其實是免了這個瞎子和他父母的罪，這就是神的拯救的作為，然後耶穌開了瞎子的眼，讓他重見了光明。

這個案例的另一個寓意在本章第39—41節，耶穌說他為審判到這世上來，叫不能看見的可以看見，能看見的反瞎了眼。也就是說自以為是義人的和自以為在律法裏正確服事神的，其實他們是瞎了眼的，因為他們沒有看見耶穌就是舊約裏所預言的那個彌賽亞，並且彌賽亞就在他們眼前，他們還是看不見；而那些看不見自己有什麽可誇的人相信了耶穌，他們是真正看見了。

約9:1 耶穌過去的時候、看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
約9:2 門徒問耶穌說、拉比、這人生來是瞎眼的、是誰犯了罪、是這人呢、是他父母呢。
His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
約9:3 耶穌回答說、也不是這人犯了罪、也不是他父母犯了罪、是要在他身上顯出神的作為來。
Jesus answered, "Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him.
約9:5 我在世上的時候、是世上的光。
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
約9:6 耶穌說了這話、就吐唾沫在地上、用唾沫和泥抹瞎子的眼睛上、
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man's eyes with the mud,
約9:7 對他說、你往西羅亞池子裏去洗、（西羅亞翻出來、就是奉差遣)他去一洗、回頭就看見了。
and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which means "Sent"). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
約9:39 耶穌說、我為審判到這世上來、叫不能看見的、可以看見．能看見的、反瞎了眼。
Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment, that those who don't see may see; and that those who see may become blind."
約9:41 耶穌對他們說、你們若瞎了眼、就沒有罪了．但如今你們說、我們能看見、所以你們的罪還在。
Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, 'We see.' Therefore your sin remains.
