耶穌不受從人來的榮耀 — 約翰福音讀經隨筆 第5章

約翰福音第五章第41—44節文士和法利賽人總愛炫耀自己，假冒偽善地顯示自己對神有多虔誠，在人前顯示自己的榮耀，但耶穌說他不受從人來的榮耀。耶穌知道文士和法利賽人不相信他，知道他們的心裏沒有神的愛。他們之間相互吹捧，互相受榮耀，卻不尋求來自神的榮耀。馬太福音第二十三章說文士和法利賽人一切所作的事都是要叫人看見，所以將佩戴的經文做寬了，衣裳的繸子做長了，喜愛筵席上的首座和會堂裏的高位，又喜愛人在街市上問他安稱呼他老師。然而，耶穌說他不受這些從人來的榮耀。

約5:41 我不受從人來的榮耀。
I don't receive glory from men.
約5:42 但我知道你們心裏、沒有 神的愛。
But I know you, that you don't have God's love in yourselves.
約5:43 我奉我父的名來、你們並不接待我．若有別人奉自己的名來、你們倒要接待他。
I have come in my Father's name, and you don't receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
約5:44 你們互相受榮耀、卻不求從獨一之 神來的榮耀、怎能信我呢。
How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you don't seek the glory that comes from the only God?
太23:5 他們一切所作的事、都是要叫人看見．所以將佩戴的經文做寬了、衣裳的繸子做長了．
But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments,
太23:6 喜愛筵席上的首座、會堂裏的高位．
and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
太23:7 又喜愛人在街市上問他安、稱呼他拉比。〔拉比就是夫子〕
the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called 'Rabbi, Rabbi' by men.
