有一晚兒子臨睡前詩興大發，吟出以下小詩一首，他睡著後，我將詩紀錄下來，並將此翻譯為中文。

A family of one

Lives in a thumb;

A family of two

Lives in a shoe;

A family of three

Lives in a tree;

A family of four

Lives in a door;

A family of five

Lives in a hive;

A family of six

Lives with a stick;

A family of seven

Lives with Kevin;

A family of eight

Lives in a gate;

A family of nine

Lives in a pine;

A family of ten

一口之家，住在拇指裏；兩口之家，住在鞋子裏；三口之家，住在樹裏；四口之家，住在門裏；五口之家，住在蜂窩裏；六口之家，和樹條住一起；七口之家，和凱文住一起；八口之家，住在城門裏；九口之家，住在鬆樹裏；十口之家，和母雞住一起。
