澳大利亞國家檔案館有關二戰時中國軍隊戰俘在巴新的檔案資料

有關太平洋戰爭期間關押在巴布亞新幾內亞新不列顛島拉包爾（亞包）的中國軍隊戰俘的資料，在澳大利亞國家檔案館裏，可以找到一些。前麵提到的有關亞包中國軍隊戰爭公墓的死歿者檔案，就是其中的一種。下麵披露的，是與中國戰俘相關的檔案資料的線索。

需要說明一下，這些資料卷帖繁多，有些看似與之相關，也許包含的是其它的內容。在未有詳細閱讀並作出正確的判斷之前，姑且將其列於此，留待有興趣的研究者去最終取舍。當然，如有心者願意涉足這一領域，探討這些問題，也可與在下聯絡，看能否有可能共同將這些資料整理出來。

這些檔案所涉及的範圍主要有：

1、中國軍隊在新不列顛島概況

在新不列顛島的中國軍隊的人員名單、澳洲支付給這支軍隊（前日軍戰俘）的費用、戰後占領新不列顛島的澳洲當局對前戰俘的管理等；

2、前中國戰俘的個人情況、傷亡及病故登記、疾病預防控製等；

3、戰後戰爭法庭戰犯審判涉及日軍虐待在新不列顛島的中國戰俘的檔案；

4、中國駐澳使領館人員與澳洲當局交涉中國戰俘相關的檔案；

5、中國戰俘的遣返。
