Making Chinese Buns is a team working. Back home in China, Mom made buns. My sister and I prepared the dough. The dough is tricky. It requires thicker at the center and thinner at edge. Making buns is even trickier. It requires proper stuffing and the special skill to make it lovely. I don't remember how many times I witness Mom and sister making those Chinese Buns. I never dare to try because I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. Nowadays, Mom and sister are 5000 miles away. It is pretty challenge to deal with the craving of Chinese Buns. Well, picked up the phone and asked mom how to make the dough and stuffing. A lots of chives in the garden. Try it....... It took me hour and half to get dough ready. My stand mixer was a big helper. While waiting for the dough raise, cut up the cleaned chives and mixed in ground beef and other seasonings. Stuffing was ready by the time the dough was ready. Next, I had to play two roles by myself. I am sure my husband love to help. But it is a bit challenge for him to make the Chinese Buns. Here they are..........
