今天去見了一個realtor，跟他一起吃飯，老先生問起了西藏的事。和宗教的事。

Q：Do you think China will retaliate US for what happened in SF?
A：No, I do not think so. China pretty much knows the situation in Western countries.

Q: Are you free to practice religion?
A: It is more free now. You can practice yourself, but I am not sure if you can spread it.

Q: Why?
A: Well, socialism is pretty much a religion, so the government wants people to believe in socialism. The government does not want to create its own competitors. Can you believe in TWO religions at the same time?

Q: Will the government crash down upon Tibet?
A: Politically? Probably. Financially? No. Government actually pours money into Tibet, but it is not appreciated.

Q: Do you think it will have a big effect on things?
A: No really, it happens, and it will pass. How can a couple of million people challenge more than a billion?

Q: Why not just allow them to be independent?
A: Because they take too big a piece of land.

Q: How big?
A: One sixth of China.

Q: That big?
A: Yeah. It is like, half the population of Seattle, want to take five states away, and declare independence. Would you allow that?

Q: Absolutely NOT!
