If I had my life to live over
I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I'm one of those people who live
sensibly and sanely hour after hour,
day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments,
And if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
Just moments, one after another,
instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those people who never goes anywhere
without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat
and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over,
I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies.

親愛的月兒,真高興你喜歡這段文字,自從我第一次讀到它,裏麵的話語就常常響在耳邊。我們從小受到的教育就是“生活不是享樂,而是奮鬥!”對孩子們也常常要他們快馬加鞭,先生總讓孩子們玩,說“all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”

Dear Sis. Sunny, welcome to my garden, offering you a cup of sweet morning tea. You brought a ray of sunshine to us today! WXC is like a marketplace, people bring what they have to offer, we get a glimpse of his/her life. Occasionally people say things that they would not say if they were face to face. We are just attracted to people who share our own values.
If I had my life live over, I would not waste time in many of the posts from wxc, a place unfortunately, getting more and more despair from many angles.hehehe :))))))
Thanks to the the blogger, for your great effort in translating and editing this inspiring post.

Welcome Bluecrab, sending you some afternoon tea!
I had a motto given to me by my father when I was in junior high school:“人生不是享樂,而是奮鬥!” I carried that thought with me all those years, I felt for every minute my kids lived, I was living half minute for them... until my husband told me to relax, "life is to be enjoyed, not just endured or fought for!" I've learned to let go and let God. Blessings(^O^☆♪
