Last year at the end of our net CNY party, I posted a question to each and every party goer: “What would be the most invaluable thing in the world ? “ To be fair, I suggested each of us should take the whole year to think about it and then answer it in her or his best knowledge at the next CNY.
Now, it’s the time we are all waiting for; without further adieu, could you share with us your enlightenment ? I assume that you guys indeed lose some sleep on that and did not cheat your answer in any fashion and shape. :)
As you know a promise is a promise, I’ll give mine in detail as well.
For those new friends who think they have their answer long time ago, you are more than welcome to contribute, too. :))
Please permit me to clarify the requirements
a bit in case there is some confusion to submit your answer:
1. The question that you are
being asked is an open-ended one, you can give a one word version of answer or
lengthy one, it’s up to you. Personally, I prefer you would share your rationales behind
your answer with us.
2. There is no correct or wrong
answer. In other words, this is not a beauty or “pissing”(excuse my French :)) contest, every participant’s answer is a great one.
In addition, your answer can be tangible or intangible.
3. If it is possible, please
give some detailed descriptions about how and why you have derived your answer that way.
4. The identical answer is
perfectly fine. I assume you have heard of the idiom “Great minds think alike.”
However, if your supporting reasons/arguments and wordings are identical with
someone else, then that might be an issue. :(
5. The deadline for submitting
is by the midnight of the fifteenth day of CNY month.
6. If you think that your answers
could be better understood if it’d be accompanied with a photo or a song
or both, please do that by all means.
7. All answers are considered
with equal weight, period.
8. I know you guys are “the greedy
bunch”, sorry guys, one person one answer, and no one is above the law.:)
9. When deadline passed, all
the entries received will be put together as a special edition of peice to
commemorate our life 2011-2012 – a time capsule if you will.
10.You may submit your answer
with your thoughts as comments in my blog or send your entry to my qqh. BTW, procrastination
is not recommended and comparing thoughts with your fellow friends are highly
discouraged. :)

It seems that you have given some serious thoughts to the essence of life, no wonder you are ahead of curve in terms of success. :)
Do you know , in some aspect, you and I have something in common: That is to push your blog partner out of her comforting zone to face the challenges and make a difference to this world even she sometimes “cries out” for help without knowing the backings that have been already in place.

Dude, please don’t be so nervous, your answer is as great as any contributor’s one, that’s given. BTW, in my blog, people can say whatever are on their minds. Unlike at your home, you may have to be skillful to bypass those possible “minefields”. For instance, if your wife asks you a “tricky” question, you might have to be extremely careful for the answer you’d come up. Otherwise, "wrong" answer may get you in trouble. :) Fortunately, you are safe here. Thank you for constant tiger-powered support! :)

Some people may say the most invaluable thing in our life is family,friends, love,health...some others may say as long as I've a piece of roof on top of me,three meals a day,I'd be happy,so the most invaluable thing is to satisfy a being's basic needs.
With the above said,inevitably,the word "satisfaction" comes to my mind. Everyone's wants and needs are different,hence,the most invaluable thing in my life is "to be satisfied,to know how to appreciate what I have in my hand",it could be all gone by tomorrow.

Here is my thinking: Granted, each of us is a different and unique being in granular level, but in the larger scale, we’d share many similarities, like it or not. Yes, the world we live is full of fake products and phony characters, yet our fate, personalities, and values we are holding onto often enable us to grab the most important thing or belief albeit all these odds or tide that we maybe have to deal with or face. In other words, our answers should the reflections/snapshots of what our priorities and wants would be at a specific time frame. It is my hope, for a short moment, we'd stay away from the group-thinking, and each of us is able to tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth without any shame or contrition.

It's true as time goes by, our answers to this question could be vastly different.
At this moment, the answer for me is: "To Know oneSELF"
If one knows oneSELF fully, one will be a fully awakened soul, and will behave differently, at a much higher consciousness contributing to PEACE, at personal, social and planetary levels.

I know I won't be widely understood but at least my friends will allow me to be different:)
There are a list of things that are important to me: my own health, my family's wellbeing, knowledge, financial security, and so on.
However, I could have everything there is to have yet feel utterly unhappy at the same time.
Therefore, I believe that ability to understand --- "Happiness is a state of mind" is the most invaluable thing in the world. I call it my third eye. When I open my third eye, I start to see, to feel content.

I know the pain to lose your beloved father was insurmountable, and apparently, the lingering grief still tortures you time to time. I certainly can feel you suffering from intellectual level not physical one. Honestly speaking, I am not sure what I am going to do if it’d happen to me. Recently, I mentioned my fears to one of my close friends: If one day I’d lose my father, mother, grandpa and grandma, I am afraid that my whole world would just collapse. Anyway, it’s CNY time, let’s ditch this kind of sentimental thingies.
BTW, no, your answer did not disappoint me at all, First of all, this’s an open-ended question, and secondly there is no right or wrong answer. Third, we are, pretty much, the products shaped by many attributes including our personal experiences.

It is my plan: by the fifteenth day of CNY month, I’ll post the answers from all the contributors. Then, we will see how people prioritize their life values and beliefs. It should be an interesting survey to look at it even the number of participants might be small.
Do you realize that as a later entrant, you somehow have to pay a “late fee” to join us? Please don’t be panic, I am sure you will be ok after my explanation. This is what you are going to do, you’ll be required to submit your answer with some of your thoughts over your pick (in English or Chinese ). Hopefully your enlightenment would be able to allow us to take a peek into your brain. :)
Please don’t be a quitter or deserter, okay ? I have full confidence in you. It should be just as easy as a piece of “C cake” for you after all those tough situations you have weathered.
