Winslow Homer 是19世紀著名的美國風景畫畫家，他是自學成才的，以畫海上畫而著稱，他的一些陸地鄉村畫更是恬靜優美, 看他的畫，真是很享受，恨不得自己也在他的畫中，因為，風景是那麽樸素優美，人物都是那麽普通典雅，情調悠閑，都能感受到他生活的那個時代懶洋洋的太陽，聽到蟋蟀在在草地裏吱吱叫。
Winslow Homer 的母親是一位很有天才的水彩畫業餘畫家，是他的第一位老師，父親是一位商人。
目前他的畫不少是在美國本土的博物館裏收藏，如波士頓，華盛頓，波特蘭等，還有一些被私人收藏， 有機會真想親眼看看他的畫，真是很喜歡， 他的畫好看的真是太多了。
Winslow Homer (February 24, 1836/> – September 29, 1910/>) was an American landscape painter and printmaker, best known for his marine subjects. He is considered one of the foremost painters in 19th century
Largely self-taught, Homer began his career working as a commercial illustrator.[1] He subsequently took up oil painting and produced major studio works characterized by the weight and density he exploited from the medium. He also worked extensively in watercolor, creating a fluid and prolific oeuvre, primarily chronicling his working vacations ( Wikipedia)
