今天中午，我同阿小曦通了一個電話，溝通演出相關事宜。其間她說：“無名，我覺得這絕不僅僅是錢的問題。我先生他們的清華校友會，單單在矽穀，就上個禮拜那麽幾天，已經籌集了一百萬的捐款。說實在的，就憑咱們這麽個小教會，無論如何努力，能捐的錢都是非常有限的。不過我覺得吧，就算籌不到多少錢，這也是咱們華人應該做的——總比幹看著同胞受苦流淚要強吧。咱們這一帶，本來華人就不多，還都一向比較疏遠。在中國這麽遭難的時候，我們的 community 應該抱團兒！我認識的一些早年從大陸來的人，知道倒是知道地震了，可是一點兒不覺得這跟自己有什麽關係。我們沒準兒能通過這台演出，讓大家齊心協力，聯合起來，奉獻愛心。”

Donate a PEACEFUL DREAM
Donate Sleeping bags/Tents for China Earthquake Relief
As all of you know, the massive 5/12 Sichuan earthquake has left millions of people homeless. There is an urgent need of tents and sleeping bags which is in short supply in China .
The SF Bay Area Chinese community has worked out a deal with United Airlines. The United Airlines has very generously agreed to ship donated goods to China , free of charge.
This Friday May 23rd, volunteers from USTC and SVTN have rented trucks to collect donations of sleeping bags, tents and blankets. We are setting up volunteers in a few large South Bay companies to collect your generous donations.
We strongly encourage everyone to donate blankets, tents, sleeping bags, and other necessity items. Your donations will help provide support, livelihood, and a PEACEFUL DREAM for the kids and families in Sichuan . Let us work together to share our American Dream with those in need!
All donations are welcome, whether used or new. We will set up locations in some large corporations to collect donations on Friday, May 23 (10AM t o2PM).
Please tightly pack the tents/sleeping- bags, better in boxes/bags if possible.
