Stoked for the party, lmao kicked it off Thursday evening with a Beijing Opera rendition, giving the party an early jump-start. This so-called “rear pronunciation” singing was followed by a demonstration of “nasal” Huangmei opera by 同學小雪。After these two early starters, Professor 小千 set the bar really high by posting a series of photos, garnering nearly 500 views. 同學小薇 and beautifulwind each performed a challenging Chinese song successfully while 愚公 was asked for a redo for his performance of “True Love in Romantic Movies” as the audience was tired of English this weekend. Cha-cha, technically-challenged and forgetful at the same time, flashed her photos for 5 seconds, to four viewers only.

Jennea, innovative and inspiring as always, took the party to another level with a bi-dialectal reading of the beloved and highbrow “再別康橋”. Following Jennea’s lead, 金迷 and 小淘 did a remake of the reading in two other dialects: Northeastern and Shaanxi dialects respectively. 小淘’s masterly reading in both Shanxi dialect and Mandarin sounded so professional that Xiaoqian was reminded to put out her earlier collaborative work on 你的眼睛 . DCH, who had disappeared for a couple of weeks and just came back from China, gave his presidential-speech-like reciting of some 三國古詞。The duet between i999 and her daughter, though short, was sweet enough to touch every listener’s heart and melt it.

The witty cha-cha, coming back with a 馬甲 and a spoof of 美風’s speech, brought the party to its climax. The audience started guessing who was beneath the 馬甲： was it lil, cha-cha or 泡泡？非文青, cha-cha’s BFF for 20 years, of course, commanded authority on this issue and declared with 100% certainty that it was none other than Cha-cha. In the midst of the chaos, 金迷 asked 非文青 to show some photos of her babies. A proud Mom as 非文青 is, she would show off her kids at the slightest interest. She harvested quite a few compliments by posting five pictures of her adorable daughter and son. Lil, while complimenting the kids, gave away her online status. Under her classmates’ pressure and despite some technical malfunction, Lil put out her hot photos, showing the athletic side of herself and “causing nosebleeds to” (note: Chinglish) her fellow classmates who salivated for more pictures and were motivated to lose weight for the next celebration.

In addition, we had some performers outside of the class. Lilac and self both showed their unyielding support. However, this is not the end of the story yet. At the end of yesterday’s posts, we saw 京北 apologetically telling us his misfortunes of being stung by a jellyfish and having an inflamed throat. He promised us a make-up in the near future. 京北，we are all looking forward to your highly-anticipated performance! Oh, and Toast2011, we know you are here reading the posts and laughing at our jokes. Please, give us your performance or photos, otherwise, no more bricks for your future reading. Mwa-ha-ha-haaaa, my evil laughter…
