表明裏麵可能有支票之類比較敏感的文件，寄件人想確保是收件人本人收到。如果收件人已經搬走，應該將信件退回。

還有一種情況，收件人已經在郵局更改地址，郵局有時仍會投遞到舊地址。你把信件退回，郵局或者會重新投遞到新地址；或者會將信件退回，並附上收件人的新地址，讓寄件人重寄。
