Both are in the "normal" ranges now.
The best thing happened to me was the paradigm shift followed by a permanent life-style change.
As for the "good" vs "bad" carbs dualism, I see it this way.
As long as you stay with whole grains (organic if possible), they won't hurt you.
It's when you seek instant gratification and gorge on the "good" stuff handed to you by industry that you are in trouble.
In this sense, you don't have to know "carbs," invented by modern science, to be healthy.
My HDL went up 70 per cent to 55 and LDL stayed flat at 110.
