Your diet change has made very dramatic improvements for you. I don't mean to pry but what was your old diet like before? Was it heavily meat-based? Was it mainly a SAD diet ("Standard American Diet")?
For me I had always eaten "normal" - meat, grains (whole and refined), lots of vegis and fruits. This "balanced" diet worked for me until about 5 years ago. As I get closer to menopause, I noticed the weight was creeping up on me and my lipid panels just got a little worse every year. I personally don't think total cholesterol or LDL are really the demons that they made them out to be but I tend to believe triglycerides is an independent indicator for heart health. So I am happy I got it down. Without meds. My next step is to refine the process and maybe try to optimize it.
OK

Mine was not the SAD diet either. (A great acronym, by the way.)
