事情是這樣的。我已經不可能爭到做唯一的project lead了,她絕對不會讓步,我隻想要老土說的中策(做平等co-leads). 但這位韓國同事連co-lead也不想我沾,處處想一把抓,很多worldwide level的事務想自己處理了,以便最大限度地拿credit, 等我知道時她已經做完. 因為她到處發email說她是ww lead, 我是她的support, 很多人就隻跟她聯係,我根本沒有信息。以下是我倆的一些emails. 我最後一封email後她沒回音,1小時後我收到老板的meeting invitation, 要明早和我倆談how to handle WW and Geographies. 顯然,韓國人背後把我告了。老板是上個月新來的。(順便說一句,老板今天生日,這個韓國人買了蛋糕到辦公室來為老板慶祝,比我會來事。)

Just for clarification to avoid email traffic in case, I am the WW lead for ABC project (like John was for XYZ project) and working on US and AP as well. So I will be the project WW focal for any WW questions.
我回了一封email, copy KD.
NH,
I should be on copy for all ABC project accounting issues for awareness, specially when it is WW and affect Europe, even though it is not Europe specific. That should be the way a team work.
完了後我覺得有必要好好談談,於是就寫了以下email, 隻發給她,沒有copy任何人.
Hi, NH,
I feel necessary to clarify each other's capacity and how we should carry out the project. I am sure you want to gain as much experience as you can from this project, so do I. My intent is to learn the max I can learn by doing this project. We don't have to mimic exactly the same way John and Annie ran XYZ project as everyone has different objective to achieve in doing a project. The bottom line is as long as we run the project successfully (we will), I am sure TS will support a way that can benefit both of us the most from a learning perspective.
1. You will handle US and AP issues (That is, US and AP issues should go to you)
2. I will handle Europe issues (That is, Europe issues should come to me, not to you first)
3. We should jointly handle WW issues (My involvement is essential, as stated in my previous note. Things like account mapping, I should be involved early on. We can divide up the work if you like)
4. Since Europe has 2/3 of the entities, if you would like to handle the general project management work (like setting up meetings, sending agenda, recording minutes, maintaining task plan), that's fine with me. That would even out the workload a little. Of course I will not leave all the work to you!
By title, we all do WW (i.e. WW Coordinator). KD is the WW lead. You and I are a joint team. If you want to handle all the WW issues by yourself, then you don't need me, you just need an entry level help.

一看到老板的meeting invitation就知道她背後把我告了,估計她把我的email給老板看了(估計是take out of context 式的,不是整個email)。想想老板介入也好,趁機說說我要什麽, 否則韓國人什麽都抓在她手裏。
想老土和各位大俠給點建議,明早該怎樣和老板還有韓國人談才能最大限度地拿到我想要的。因為老板是新來的,不太了解他會站那邊。可是因為韓國人先告狀,並且拿去年的XYZ project來做例子,老板有可能站她那邊。我該怎樣談?我自己能想到的是:

1. When I took the project, my understanding was that we would work jointly as co-leads. It was not clearly communicated to me that one as lead and the other as support.
2. I have been in this dept for 2 yrs. I have successfully completed 4 small to medium size acquisitions. I am ready to gain experience from a big project. Big project doesn’t come all the time. This big project is important for me as it is for NH.
3. I want to be involved and jointly handle the WW issues as it affects Europe. I will learn thru resolving the issues. If I am only involved in handling Europe issues, I won’t learn as much as I hope to. I had already handle Europe before. I would like to bring my knowledge and skill to another level when I get out of this project.
4. I would be happy to work out a way with NH that we both can learn the max, rather than one person gains more experience, the other gains less.
5. I want my capability to be fully utilized. I want to contribute more to the project than just being a support.
