夜宿山寺 – 李白

危樓高百尺，手可摘星辰。

不敢高聲語，恐驚天上人。

A Five-Character Quatrain by Li Bai

(Lodging Overnight at a Mountain Temple)

The temple so towery I come by,

 On which I can pluck the stars from the sky.  

Oh, I dare not utter a voice too loud,

Afear to frighten those who dwell on high.

夜宿烏牙寺

夜宿烏牙寺，舉手捫星辰。

不敢高聲語，恐驚天上人。

夜宿峯頂寺

夜宿峯頂寺，舉手捫星辰。

不敢高聲語，恐驚天上人。

The tower, on which I stand, is so high

That I could seize the stars across the sky.

Oh, I dare not chant with a loud steven,

For fear of waking elves up in heaven.
