　　湯臣一品座落於中國金融中心的中央，由四座高樓組成，這個中國最昂貴的建築群爭議也最多。 2006 年，一個未透露姓名的買家支付了 1.32 億元購買了一套住宅，創下了中國房價的最高記錄，達每平方米110,000 元。除此之外， 220 套中僅又售出了兩套。

美國篇：

　　美國次貸危機爆發，樓市持續下跌，但超級豪宅不跌反升，仍然持續升值。美國10大最貴豪宅，位於加州比華利山的大屋以樓價1.65億美元（約合11.5億元人民幣）排名榜首。這座大屋在1926年建成，影帝馬龍·白蘭度的經典電影《教父》也曾在這裏取景。大屋由6座建築物組成，共29個睡房、3個泳池和一間戲院。

　　而美國地產大亨特朗普2004年在一個破產拍賣會上以4125萬美元(約合 2.88億元人民幣)投得位於佛羅裏達州棕櫚灘的豪宅maison de l'amitie，兩年前值1.25億美元（約合8.7億元人民幣），現在跌至1億美元（約合7億元人民幣）。但相比他4年前的買入價，現在仍升值超過1 倍，排名第5。
