1992年就結婚，曆經13年，宋祖英與丈夫羅浩的結晶才在2005年9月遲遲到來，3700克重的大胖兒子出世，母子平安。宋祖英的丈夫叫羅浩，長沙人，是《雍正王朝》、《走向共和》等經典劇集的總製片人。兩人相識於1988年的湖南省青年歌手大獎賽，當時宋祖英是參賽選手，羅浩是負責賽事轉播的編導。經過多年相戀，1992年春天，兩人幸福地走進了婚姻的殿堂。
