搖滾巨星邁克爾.傑克遜的告別追思會，已於北京時間今天淩晨一點在洛杉磯盛大舉行。告別式曆時三個小時，氣氛莊嚴隆重，亦充滿哀傷與不舍。身處全球各地的歌迷，紛紛透過電視與網絡一同追思心中永遠的偶像。
“今日新聞”消息，傑克遜的家人於洛杉磯時間早上八點多，先在森林草坪墓園舉行家祭，接著傑克遜的靈柩被送往洛杉磯的史戴普斯中心(Staples Center)參加告別式，而進入追思會現場的歌迷大約有兩萬人，更有多達數十萬的歌迷湧入洛城為傑克遜送行，洛城警方投入三千警力，為傑克遜追思會封路開道。至於透過電視直播與網絡在線收看的全球歌迷，估計高達十億人。
傑克遜的告別式由南非總統曼德拉的吊唁信函開場，緊接著天後瑪麗亞凱莉等人獻唱，瑪麗亞凱莉獻唱了《I’ll be there》追悼傑克遜，還有傑克遜的前女友波姬.小絲(Brooke Shields)致詞，回憶了兩人過去相處的趣事，讓充滿哀戚氣氛的追思現場穿插了些許笑聲。波姬.小絲說，“他的笑聲是我見過最純真、最真實的”。
