4月8日晚，第7屆音樂風雲榜頒獎盛典在北京展覽館劇場舉行。各路明星再次相聚在一起，角逐並享受音樂榮譽的大餐。作為內地年度最受關注、最具重量的專業音樂頒獎禮，此屆典禮也是備受各方歌迷及媒體的關注。
毫無疑問，音樂風雲榜是內地音樂類獎項中最具品牌氣質的一個，在獎項已成雞肋的大環境下，讓人還保有那麽一點求知的欲望。特別是此屆“振.興”的主題，也是正義感十足，不管這是不是一個頒獎禮應該做的，是不是一個頒獎禮能做到的，出發點還是值得肯定的。
至於獎項的結果，是最重要的也是不重要的，反反複複的頒獎禮，來來回回的那些人，不是他就是她，這裏得意那兒失意確實讓人審美疲勞。此屆頒獎禮最終結果周傑倫拿下6個大獎(最佳影視歌曲、最佳男歌手、最受歡迎男歌手、最佳專輯、最佳唱作人、最佳影視歌曲)，羽泉帶回4個大獎(最佳專輯、最佳唱作人、最佳製作人、最佳流行樂團及組合)，金海心梁靜茹封後，胡彥斌周傑倫稱王。超女走過場，張靚穎獲風雲大獎、最佳新人兩獎，李宇春隻獲票選最受歡迎女歌手獎，未實現本質性突破。

1.另類星光閃耀京城四月天
下午17點，大批熱情的歌迷聚集現場，彩球、條幅、熒光棒以及不同歌迷鮮明的打扮把現場裝點得分外繽紛，眼神期盼、情緒激昂。
17點10分，星光大道紅地毯儀式拉開帷幕，現場進入沸騰狀態，特別是隨著各路大牌明星的到場，在京城溫暖的四月天下，上演了一幕明星粉絲大聯歡的景象，熱鬧非凡。
作為一直以支持內地原創音樂為主旨的音樂風雲榜，此屆更是力求在主流音樂獎項中盡可能為內地原創音樂找到新的出口。而走上紅地毯的明星除了李宇春、張靚穎、兄弟聯、Super Junior等超人氣偶像、團體以及蘇有朋、吳宗憲、黃立行等港台明星外，新褲子樂隊、AK47樂隊、痛苦的信仰樂隊、萬曉利等平時不可能出現在主流頒獎禮上的音樂人也紛紛盛裝出席，感受了一把明星的滋味。
而在粉絲後援隊伍裏，出現了一批“另類團體”，他們身著統一的海魂衫，拉著巨幅條幅“北京媒體怒愛萬曉利”，以表達對萬曉利這位執著的音樂人的喜愛和尊敬。可見小眾歌手登上主流舞台並不是不好的事情，這個小剪影也成為本屆頒獎禮的特色之一。
2.名單提前曝光 竇唯獲獎
在頒獎禮前，組委會提前揭曉了部分專業獎項，專業獎項提前曝光賺足眼球。提前揭曉的專業獎項裏，包括粵語類、搖滾類、作詞作曲類、音樂錄影帶類、影視歌曲類獎項等。名單中，周傑倫憑借《菊花台》毫無懸念的拿走最佳影視歌曲獎，最佳音樂錄影帶被王力宏奪走。粵語類獎項王菀之、陳奕迅、黃耀明、泳兒各獲一項。
最佳搖滾歌曲的角逐中，麥田守望者憑借《一意孤行》戰勝提名最多的新褲子樂隊；而最佳搖滾歌手則被竇唯奪得，這也是竇唯在此類頒獎禮中少數的幾次獲獎。可惜竇唯並沒出現在現場。
3.搖滾獎項成看點
音樂風雲榜是內地音樂獎中對搖滾樂及非主流音樂最關注的獎項，雖然此前幾屆在搖滾獎項的歸屬中出現過一些爭議，也遭到過猛烈的抨擊。但此屆搖滾獎項仍然占有了很大的比例，在紅地毯上，大批搖滾音樂人的出現也成為此屆頒獎禮的一道風景。
搖滾獎項提前頒出了最佳搖滾歌手，由竇唯獲得。而在現場頒發的其餘搖滾獎項中，最佳搖滾樂隊和最佳搖滾專輯都被老牌樂隊新褲子和去年推出的大碟《龍虎人丹》獲得，最佳搖滾新人則被擁有強大搖滾樂迷的新金屬樂隊AK47獲得，台上台下搖滾音樂人及樂迷紛紛抱以了最熱烈的掌聲。這種舞台對搖滾音樂人雖然是陌生的，但更陌生的是大眾對搖滾音樂及搖滾音樂人的認識，原因是機會太少。為此，不管獎項歸屬，立意起碼是好的。
4.劉家昌愛國情感動全場
本屆頒獎禮特別為終身成就獎獲得者劉家昌設置了特別的表演環節，著名鋼琴演奏家孔祥東獨奏《獨上西樓》，雖然中間被瘋狂粉絲尖叫打斷，但幸好主持人吳宗憲及時救場，孔祥東強調了表演的嚴肅性才平息下來。
當組委會宣布劉家昌獲得終身成就獎時，全場抱以了熱烈的掌聲。上台領獎的劉家昌先生顯得非常激動，他說這是他第二次獲得這項大獎，前一次是在台灣金曲獎上，但那次領獎給他的記憶並不好，因為環境問題，在當時他發表一的愛國宣言讓他處境危險。而此次來到北京領獎，完全是回家的感覺，也為此感到非常驕傲。一番感人的話語不禁劉家昌自己情緒激動，在場藝人及觀眾更是群情激昂，紛紛站立起來，給這位音樂家抱以最熱烈的掌聲，而這一段也肯定將成為此屆頒獎禮最令人感動的瞬間。
5.大獎各歸其主 周董繼續耍酷
此屆頒獎禮最重頭獎項也是最讓人牽掛的最佳男女歌手獎也成了頒獎禮最後的懸念。最終內地最佳女歌手被金海心奪得，港台最佳女歌手則由梁靜茹獲得。在男歌手方麵，內地最佳男歌手被胡彥斌奪得，港台最佳男歌手被周傑倫奪得。
而本屆頒獎禮最後的大獎“年度最佳專輯”獎由周迅和張亞東頒出，內地年度最佳專輯被羽泉《朋友難當》獲得，港台年度最佳專輯則由周傑倫《依然範特西》獲得。頒獎禮到這個獎也全部塵埃落定。羽泉和周傑倫成為此屆音樂風雲榜的最大贏家。頒獎禮也在李宇春《皇後與夢想》的歌聲裏落幕。
雖然此屆獎項懸念不大，但終歸是分量最重的獎，遺憾的是獲得多項大獎的周傑倫仍然不賣麵子，並沒有出席本次頒獎禮，這從某種程度上也是頒獎典禮最大的一個遺憾。
