Fresh fish and lively ducks carried along the riverbank,
Waiting for the ferry, delayed, missing the market stall.
Thirsty ducks and wilted fish losing weight by the pound,
Sold cheap in confusion as the day trudges on.

鮮魚活鴨挑江幹，

待渡船遲誤市攤。

鴨渴魚蔫渾掉秤，

糊塗賤賣日蹣跚。
