感恩節除了烤火雞外,還作了烤紅薯、烤小青南瓜(acorn squash)、四季豆(string beans)、土豆泥(mashed potatoes)等美國傳統菜肴。喜歡自己動手做土豆泥,更加新鮮、健康。現分享食譜如下:
Mashed Potatoes
土豆泥 Ingredients
用料:
1.5lb. potatoes
1.5 鎊土豆1 tablespoon sea salt
一桌匙海鹽1 cup milk
一杯牛奶3 cloves garlic, crushed
三瓣蒜,切碎3 ounces Parmesan cheese
三盎司parmesan幹奶酪1 tablespoon butter
一桌匙牛油Directions
做法:1. Peel and dice potatoes, making sure they are relatively the same size
土豆削皮、切塊,盡量切成大小相同的塊狀2. Place in a saucepan, add the salt, and cover with water
放入鍋裏,加鹽,加水,水浸過土豆3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce heat to maintain a rolling boil
中火將水煮開,將火調小,繼續滾水4. Cook until potatoes fall apart when poked with a fork
煮到土豆用叉子一搗即碎5. Heat the milk and the garlic in a saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and set aside
中火將牛奶與碎蒜在鍋裏煮至熱煨,關火放一邊6. Remove the potatoes from the heat and drain off the water. Mash and add the garlic-cream mixture and Parmesan; stir to combine
關火,將土豆瀝水,搗碎成泥,加入蒜奶,幹奶酪,牛油;攪拌7. Let stand for 5 minutes so that the mixture thickens and then serve
冷卻5分鍾,讓土豆泥略濃些再享用
