After living in the U.S. for over 20 years, this is my first time visiting South Dakota, mainly because I wanted to see Mount Rushmore.

6. Sunflower field near Badlands National Park. I never knew this before, South Dakota is one of the top producers of sunflowers in the entire U.S.

16. We saw hundreds of bison at Custer State Park's Wildlife Loop Road. These two stopped in front of our car and lowered their heads. I thought they were going to headbutt our car, instead they sniffed or licked it and then walked away. It was so scary.

21. We were told by local that this burger place was rated the nation's best burger restaurant (in 2014 by TripAdvisor). Hard to believe but they did have a waiting line every day when we were in town.
