Norway and Sweden (4) - Bergen

(2013-09-04 18:44:24) 下一個

Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. It was mostly cloudy when we were there, with some light rain on and off.  Considering Bergen's average rainfall is 2,250 mm (89 in) a year, we were pretty lucky.

1. Across street from the harbor.

2. Fish Market. Many stalls were selling home made fish soup.

3. Fish Market.

4. Fish Market.

5. The seafood sandwiches at the Fish Market were much better deal comparing to the next.

6. Scallop kebab lunch (180 NOK), also at the Fish Market. The scallop was good, can't say much about the salad and the potato except the whole thing was too small. It is good to go to Norway when you need to be on a diet :)

7. Fløibanen, a funicular runs up the mountain of Fløyen.

8. Bergen from top of Fløyen.

9. After coming down from Fløyen, we walked to Bryggen, the old wharf of Bergen. Along the way, we saw this fancy decoration in a Thai restaurant.

18. A building next to St. John's Church.

19. The Theater, about half way from St. John's Church and the harbor.
