1. Atomium, a giant atomic structure built for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. The little black dots below the middle ball were workers trying to clean the ball.

2. Workers trying to clean the ball.

3. Stairs within a ball.

4. Atomium looking from the other side.

5. La Chouffe, a good Belgium beer that is 8% in alcohol content.

6. Love this sign.

7. Across the street from the Palace of Justice building is the Anglo-Belgian Memorial, commemorating the heroic Belgian people who helped the British prisoners of war during World War I.

8. Church of Our Lady of Sablon.

9. There is a cute little park across the street from the church.

10. A clock near the central train station. We thought those figure would come out and move on the hour so we waited, but nothing happened :(

11. Another Belgium beer.

12. Not sure why, but it seems it is a big thing to eat mussels in Brussels, so we did (23 euros for one kg). It was o.k., maybe not quite in season yet.

13. Black and white sausages (15 euros). It was good.

14. Another big thing in Brussels is to try the waffle, and we did that too (3 euros). My gosh, it was sweet. You have to pay me to eat that again :)

Best food I had in Belgium in three days, don't laugh, was Chinese. We walked into this Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant by chance one day and just loved it. They had good Chinese noodle soup and pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). And they were only 8.5 euros/bowl for regular, or 11 euros/bowl for large. What a value! I normally avoid eating Chinese food when I am sightseeing in a new city, preferring trying local cuisine, but after this experience, I started to change my mind.

15. Authentic Chinese noodle soup with roast duck.
