Earlier this year, one of the projects I worked on won the Engineering Award of the year (2011) in the company. The team was invited to attend the award ceremony in Paris (our headquarter) on Jun 25 and some other events for two more days. Not wanting to waste a perfect opportunity like this, I immediately planned a vacation around the work trip. Since Dave and I had visited France two years ago (another work trip, see my blog), I planned to visit Belgium and Netherlands after Paris this time.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly to Paris.
Day 2: Arrive in Paris in early morning. Paris sightseeing.
Day 3: Paris sightseeing in the morning. Attend the award ceremony in the afternoon and dinner cruise on the Seine in the evening (company chartered a boat).
Day 4/5: While I work during the day, Dave can wander around Paris.
Day 6: Travel to Brussels by train. Brussels sightseeing.
Day 7: Brussels sightseeing.
Day 8: Day trip to Bruges.
Day 9: Travel to Amsterdam by train. Amsterdam sightseeing.
Day 10: Amsterdam sightseeing.
Day 11: Amsterdam sightseeing.
Day 12: Fly home from Amsterdam.
