France (3) - Bayeux

From Amboise, we drove to Bayeux, so we could visit the nearby D-Day sites.

1. Checking in to our hotel.

3. The beautiful grounds with two swans in the far corner.

5. The bathroom.


For 70 euros/night, this is the best hotel we stayed at on this trip.

6. Bayeux Cathedral.


Since it was Sunday night, there were only a couple of restaurants open. We went to one next to the cathedral, and each got a three course meal.

7. My starter - oysters.


8. My main course - scallops.


9. My dessert - crêpe with pear filling.


10. Dave's starter - bacon on bread with green salad.


11. Dave's main course - cod.


12. Dave's dessert - Crème brûlée.


The portion was good and they all tasted great, not bad for 17 euros/person.
