I don't think this is a real story. It is the author who had some experience and adapted to her own imagination.
We all know people dating involved bed which may not lead to marriage, not only people here in north american, Chinese are doing the same thing as well.
Michael think this girl is so pure so want give it to his friend. Haha! Haven't heard such a funny story for a long time.
This girl is trying to sell her privacy to own some attention. It is really pathetic.

It is a good advice that when dating a stranger, alway try to stay in public area. This rule should be followed regardless whether you are in the U.S. or China.
I don't believe Michael is bad. He is a playboy who is looking for playgirl, a bit like ZhouYu & HuangGai. He didn't force you to do anything. You followed him home willingly. You even met up with his friend willingly, which was not wise either You are not naive, as like a 6 year old. You just don't understand the local culture and dating protocol. Be careful and take care!
Ha ha, you are so sharp! Dating without the intention of getting married is evil in some Chinese girls mind:) However seeking a sexual relationship is a perfect reason to date women in US. The man is decent as long as he does not force his way and deceive the woman of his purpose. After all, he cooked a fine meal for her and she harassed him with phone calls in return.
The author confessed that she dated for learning English (not for getting married). Isn't that 'dangerous' as well?
If I were a guy and dated her for the purpose of finding a wife, should I be equally offended when finding out that her true intention was to 'use me' to learn English?
The author seemed strikingly bold in actions and yet quite naive in her life view. Would you go to a strange man's house and let him cook for you (without intention to get intimate) if you were in China?

sorry but i also don't understand: why is it dangerous? if you don't want it, he would not force you. if he did force you, he would become a sex offender and go to jail. and if as you said, he does this often, i am wondering why isn't he in jail???

1. M 與 S sounded like friends to me, and they were doing the tyipical guy-talking about women, which is normal. However, what I don't understand is why Steve was betraying his friend Michael? He was talking behind Michael, and Michael was unable to defend himself? And you seemed to believe what Steve had said to you?
Move over, in Western traditions (why not nowadays in China too?) Men want to go to bed with women is normal, it is animal instinct, men like to hunt, women like to be hunted. Again, it is a choice depends men and women...we are all different.
Michael made his choice select you as a target, and for some reason he gave up, as long as he did not force you into sex, he is fine.
