將進酒
An Invitation Song for Wine

君不見，黃河之水天上來，奔流到海不複回。
Do you not see
The Yellow River comes forth from the sky
Rushes to the ocean and will never return

君不見，高堂明鏡悲白發，朝如青絲暮成雪。
Do you not see
Before the mirror hung in this tall hall we mourn our hair
Dark as black silk at dawn, white as snow in eve

人生得意須盡歡，莫使金樽空對月。
When life meets your heart, enjoy all its worthy
Never let the moon shine into your goblet empty

天生我材必有用，千金散盡還複來。
Our talent given by heaven will find its place
Need not regret spent gold that can be replaced

烹羊宰牛且為樂，會須一飲三百杯。
Bring up more mutton more beef, make this joy a thrill
Along with three hundred more cups to fill

岑夫子，丹丘生，將進酒，杯莫停。
Master Cen, Gentleman Dan-qiu
Keep pouring, keep your cups spin

與君歌一曲，請君為我傾耳聽。
Press your ears at my song
This song for you I will sing

鍾鼓饌玉不足貴，但願長醉不願醒。
Treasure not charming sounds of bells and drums
Nor tastes of food exquisite as jade
A lasting intoxication is better than a mind ever awake

古來聖賢皆寂寞，惟有飲者留其名。
Sages lived in oblivion since time began
Only names of drinkers survived history's span

陳王昔時宴平樂，鬥酒十千恣歡謔。
Lord Chen once feasted in palace Ping-le as story said
Wine of rare cost was fetched to cheer up his guests

主人何為言少錢，徑須沽取對君酌。
Therefore complain not, our host, shortage of fee
Go straight to bring in more jars and drink free

五花馬，千金裘，
呼兒將出換美酒，與爾同銷萬古愁。
This fancy ride with flowery-braided mane
This fur coat worth thousand pieces of gold
Call up your boy hurry to trade for the best wine
We shall together drink to kill the sorrows eons old!
