【一句話翻譯】用非母語寫作的英語作家（參考譯文已加）

當我回首往事時，我的青春歲月似乎像早晨的暴風雪一樣，在一片蒼白的、重複的碎片中飛逝而去。

注：

（1）這個句子摘自納博科夫(Valedimir Nabokov)的著名小說《洛麗塔》（Lolita)。

（2）納博科夫出生在俄國貴族家，俄語是母語，最初寫作也是用俄語，但《洛麗塔》是用英語寫的。為納博科夫贏得國際名聲的作品都是他在流亡美國後從俄語改用英語之後創作的，其中《洛麗塔》最著名。

（3）納博科夫很小就在家裏學習英語了，因為他家人經常在家裏用英語和法語交流，所以納博科夫自稱是trilingual. 不過他也說他從俄語改用英語創作的過程是非常痛苦的，有如一個失去了七八根手指的人來重新學習用手拿東西。

（4）與納博科夫不同，另一位用非母語創作的重要英語作家康納德（Joseph Conrad）是成年後才開始學習英語的，非常厲害。

（5）納博科夫說非母語創作者永遠也不可能像母語者那麽寫作，但有一個好處就是有母語者所沒有的新鮮感，或者說異樣感覺。

（6）非母語的英語詩人達到非常高成就的好像還沒有聽說過，但有一天終會出現的，可能是你，或我，或她或他。
