德國總理梅克爾18日中午在柏林迎接來訪的烏克蘭總統澤倫斯基時，出現疑似身體不適的症狀。她在大太陽下與澤倫斯基一同站著聆聽軍樂隊演奏兩國國歌，當時氣溫攝氏30度，突然，64歲梅克爾的身體明顯顫抖、晃動不止。
梅克爾與澤倫斯基會談結束後開聯合記者會，被問到身體是否無恙，梅克爾說她脫水，「我至少喝了三杯水，所以現在沒事」。
這時，喜劇演員出身的澤倫斯基開玩笑說，必要時他會出手相救，「她就站在我旁邊，絕對安全」。
