美國家庭擁有房子的比例

From Google - The homeownership rate of 65.4 percent was 2.5 percentage points lower than the rate in the second quarter 2020 (67.9 percent) and not statistically different from the rate in the first quarter 2021 (65.6 percent).

查維基得到下圖。在2000-2010年間，大約7-8年時間裏，美國超過68%家庭擁有房子，之後發生了次貸危機。

從上圖可看出1995年之前擁有率少於65%，在1980年代初期，高於65% 的時間隻有2-3年。根據Google，現在的擁有率上了65%，而CNBC說（見下link）過去9年裏少建了500萬棟房子。如果以1億個家庭為基數，500萬是5%，這500萬棟房子讓無房家庭購買了，美國的房子擁有率則上了70%。即使一半一半，增加2-3%，擁有率也會到68%。
