2012 Presidential Election
Reagan got his second term when dealing with the then unprecedented financial crisis after suffering a failed assassination, likewise, OB will successfully get his 2nd term. Especially because he listened well. O/w, at least, he would have got an accidental case as Reagan did. To OB, there is a very good excuse: discrimination from racists of White supremacy, which was popular during the first two years after he assumed office.
Before he learned to fully cooperate, OB's birth certificate was an issue in addtion to racism troubling. Since OB learned the game rule as a president and cooperated, there was a Time article that praised him for choosing Reagan as the model. There was a post on this:

Obama handled the current unprecedented financial crisis the way just as Reagan did. It saves everybody a lot of trouble. For financial monsters, who are the real governors of the country and hence the world, it's less expensive to keep the current cooperative one than replacing him with a new one. O/w, things must be done as they have to be done. For example, the successor, Johnson was very cooperative after Kennedy. And Robert Kennedy encountered the same fate even before he had the opportunity to do anything!
