*己亥年大寒之夕於大略湖畔

雪花楓葉西郊道

來去無相告

十年孤跡拾孤心

老大情懷空載又沉沉

林間小徑拈紅豆

日暮香盈袖

模糊月色亂霜箋

不展寒梅佇立畫堂前

Snowflakes and maple leaves on the western lane,
Coming and going—no word, no sign.
Ten years a lonely trace, gathering a lonely heart,
Aged sentiments, heavy and vain.

 

Picking red beans on the woodland trail,
At dusk, my sleeves brim with fragrance tale.
Blurred moonlight scatters on such misty notes,

Unfolding not, cold plums stand still by my  studio.
