由mess around想起，提醒學英語因地製宜要探討：）

昨天隻顧mess around with other topics but ignored this so-called English study. 今天想起來，向提醒大家一句，這些個idiom or slang 很多時候是不能斷章取義的，要因地製宜，要看語境，要看上下文。以昨天的mess around 為例，大家一邊倒或者誤導地認為mess around 就是fool around, 就是sleep around.

mess around 幾乎等於 fool around 是對的，因為這兩個phrases 依上下文語境都含不同意義，但絕不能說完全等同於sleep around。

語言是在不斷發展的，尤其是時髦用語或說slang,這個mess around也一樣。mess around 在7、80年代盛行用於指sleep around 或者偶爾指 hook up with somebody的意思，可是現在很少有人用它來特指 sleep around。所以，如果偶然看見或想到這個詞現在還有人這麽用這個意思，那麽現在來看確實是偶然，也或者這個人的歲數不小了。

學英語要知道如何偶然，不誤導。上次咱們壇子不就犯了一個中國的中學生都不應該犯的語法錯誤麽？學習的過程其實很多時候也是商討的過程，尤其壇子裏，大家是相互學習，更不能一邊倒,昨天有人置疑了，但沒有堅持，結果好多人是不是都誤學了？好在不是學校，不過KT對這麽簡單的一個詞全體犯一個簡單的錯誤，沒的惹人笑話，嗬嗬嗬嗬

大家學習氣氛濃，但學術氣氛也濃才正常，商討，爭論，才能真正互相提高麽？！術業有專攻，不可能像軍隊一般還有general。

4. intransitive verb behave in unserious way: to joke or behave playfully ( informal )
I thought he was just messing around.


5. intransitive verb associate with somebody: to associate with somebody, especially somebody who is seen as undesirable ( informal )
She started messing around with that crowd last summer.


6. intransitive verb be sexually unfaithful: to have sexual activity with somebody other than a spouse or regular sexual partner ( slang )
