幸災樂禍 Is Bad?

幸災樂禍 Is Bad?

When a nasty thing happens to a normal person, there is a corresponding shadow or injury in his heart. Even if the person temporarily forgets it, the scar is always there and the pain will re-surface when the wound is trigged by certain events.

When the perpetrator of the injury is punished by certain events, such as 天災 or 人禍, other than the victim’s act, most of us naturally feel happy or幸災樂禍. This is not because we are nasty, evil, or weak by nature, but because we are fundamentally human beings, who have injured souls. When we 幸災樂禍, it implies our life is still resilient and our injuries get healed. So 幸災樂禍 to the victim is one of psychologically healthy massages/therapies. Why not? We are normal human beings, not a Saint or god.

If we think carefully of ourselves, look around at other normal human beings, and we are honest to ourselves, it is universally true. The only differences among the people are that someone does it quietly and someone does it provocatively. However, even the provocative one is not necessarily bad if it nicely serves your purpose. Do you remember, in three dynasty, Zhu Ge-liang幸災樂禍 Zhou Yu’s stupidity? The only concern of 幸災樂禍 is whether we do it properly. Of course, doing it quietly is usually better.

However, I must admit the above argument has an exception to some Chinese, who are either soulless or have sold out their souls. To them, it does matter when their sisters, relatives, or even their bitch-type of mothers are nastily beaten, raped, or killed. To them, their language game-play is always like these types of junk reasoning: 以德報怨,不乘人之危, 不幸災樂禍, etc. Monks use these words to hoax others’ money, while, to those human beings, it appears they lost their authentic souls, therefore no such pain. To some of them, their minds and hearts are artificially separated, rather than an integrated whole. Therefore, this is why they despise our 幸災樂禍. That is the trouble.

At last, it is a more scientific way of thinking when we start from facts, experience, to reasoning. It is an absurd or primitive type of thinking when we start from certain doctrines or teachings, to facts, then to reasoning. Chinese way of thinking is prone to the latter one.

Note:
*乘人之危 is a prevailed world wide rule.
*Eye for an eye is a prevailed western rule.
*Religion believers thinking starts from doctrines first too. Their reasoning is called motivated-reasoning.

Why Give Money to Indonesia
來源: gudao

Like man, what a country should do is to preserve itself and seek prosperity. Strategically, a country needs space for market & resource and gain time to get stronger in order to change the rules of the game. The one of reasons of WWI is that German felt threat due to lack of space. Therefore, Indonesia is the country for China to gain these two.

Though, in our eyes, Indonesia is a barbarian one, we can’t afford irate it for the time being, as we are not strong enough and there are some competing forces there. Though it is quite possible Indonesia would do the same to humiliate Chinese in the future, frankly we have no other better way, but give some money to buy the crucial time we desperately need.

The only concern about donating money is how to use it wisely.
