出國度假，護照需6個月有效期國家新列表（美圖）

秋冬想旅行散心的話去哪好呢？

選擇去常年夏天的南美度假，享受陽光沙灘，會是個不錯的選擇，嗬嗬。這次我們家選了去Jamaica（牙買加）的度假村。5天、5個人、三個房間，包吃、住、飛機，總共不到4千。


然後發現護照還有兩個月就到期更新了。我們訂的票是10月去，去5天，護照12月才到期。（綠卡的話，帶上中國護照就可以了。）

保險起見還是上網查一查吧。結果驚訝發現，還真有一些國家，是必須持有至少6個月以上有效期的Passport，才不會遇麻煩的~！





那麽，有些什麽國家是有此6個月限的呢？不僅有6個月限的，甚至還有3個月限的。而反之，也有國家是隻要有護照就行，不看日期的。以下摘錄舉出了一些：





Some countries have a strict 6-month validity rule in place. If your passport expires within 6 months of your date of arrival you will be turned away at immigration, if not before at your departure airport. These include: Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Brazil, Ecuador, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Paraguay, Tunisia, Romania, Singapore and surprisingly, Belgium.

Other countries enforce a 3-month rule. These include: Cambodia, Denmark, Fiji, Switzerland, South Africa, New Zealand, Croatia and Estonia





Many countries however require only a valid passport for the duration of your stay. Among these are: Kenya, Tanzania, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, UK and USA.

There are some exceptions: EU citizens only ever need a valid passport, regardless of date, to travel in other EU countries. US citizens need only a driving license or valid passport to enter Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and any US overseas territories such as Puerto Rico.

至於Jamaica在不在此類國家之內，剛開始的時候找到不少答複是，Jamaica不需要6個月有效的Passport，例如以下這個論壇裏有比較多網友的答複：

但多查一些網站，答案似乎又不同了。雖然不少網站的“6個月限期”列表，是沒有Jamaica的，但也有一些，而且是比較新的列表，是把Jamaica列在裏麵了。





其實最早訂票時，我們就問過訂票網站的工作人員。對方不是很肯定的語氣提議我們先更新了。於是，我又再次打電話問了另一位工作人員，確定，Jamaica真的需要Passport要有至少6個月的有效期。所以可見，每個國家是否執行“6個月期限”，是隨時會更改的。

以下是2014年4月登出的一個列表，算比較新的，把Jamaica包括在裏麵了。近期出國旅行，而護照又即將到期的話，記得查查這個表，或問清楚旅行社喲：

順便提一下，以下則是從其它國家進入美國，不需要6個月限的國家名單。如果您的中國親友要來美國玩，護照就需要有6個月以上的有效期，因為中國不在這個名單內：

關於護照更新。一般的護照更新，隻需要填表，連2x2相片及舊護照，及$110支票一起寄去即可。但要4-6星期才能寄回來。

趕時間要快的話（像這次我們太緊了），可以找代理，無論網上或是當地，都有很多公司提供快捷代理服務，最快的2-3天就回來。





然後又發現，也可以不找代理，而直接辦快件。這樣比找代理便宜。

普通：$110， 快件：+$60，或過夜快件再+$14.85。

方法是：

* 填好DS-82表格

* 連$184.85支票，支票上寫好名字、出生日期。抬頭：U. S. Department of State

* 2X2正麵照

* 舊的Passport

一起放在大信封中，表格不折疊。信封麵某處注明：Expedited

寄到：P.O.Box 90955, Phila, PA 19190-0955

這個方法，3星期內到。


如果兩個禮拜之內就要出國的話，要在某些城市，例如紐約、水牛城等，可以到當地的辦事處去。具體如下鏈接：

首先，要打電話預約時間，到時帶上2星期內出國旅遊的證據（例如機票）及上述資料，前往辦理。

（條件是：必須是兩個禮拜內出國時，才能打那個電話預約。三個禮拜都不行，得等到那時候再預約。）

預約的時間一般是一兩天後。到那天交齊資料，我們是第二天就能取到更新的護照。

Appointments are required at all passport agencies.  There is no charge to make an appointment at a passport agency and customers should not pay anyone or any business making such a charge.

You must pay the $60 expedite fee in addition to application fees to apply at this agency.

Proof of travel is required when applying at this agency.

Will call service is offered for life or death emergencies and immediate travel abroad (leaving within 5 business days).  The agency will advise you when the passport will be ready for pickup at will call based on your documented travel plans.

For all other customers, passports will be issued within 8 business days of applying at the agency. During your appointment, the agency will advise how the passport will be sent to you.
